Mandaluyong City, 24 September 2026 — M&T Consultants, Islamic Co. supported the 2026 Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP) Summit, bringing Islamic trust and Shari’ah-compliant wealth solutions into the conversation on Filipinos’ financial futures.
Held at The Westin Manila under the theme “Trust Forward: Building Filipinos’ Financial Futures,” the summit gathered around 1,000 participants online and in person from the trust, banking, investment, and financial services sectors.
Nor Shahrizan Bin Sulaiman, M&T’s Senior International Consultant, served as resource speaker for “Trust Forward: Advancing Financial Inclusion Through Shariah-Compliant Wealth Solutions.” His session focused on the trust industry’s role in expanding access to ethical and faith-aligned investment opportunities and supporting Islamic finance in the Philippines.
The discussion highlighted an important dimension of financial inclusion: enabling people to save, invest, and plan for the future through services consistent with their beliefs and values. For Muslims seeking Shari’ah-compliant options, suitable wealth solutions can open pathways to greater participation in the formal financial system and long-term financial security.
For trust and investment institutions, these opportunities underscore the need to understand diverse client needs, strengthen professional capabilities, and connect wealth management expertise with the technical requirements of Shari’ah-compliant offerings.
To encourage learning beyond the summit, M&T provided complimentary access to Fundamentals of Shariah in Islamic Finance (FOSIF) to 10 participants from the summit’s online and in-person audience.
